About Mana Wars
Mana Wars is about a fantasy world where mana, the fuel of magic, is a commodity used by everyday people on a daily basis. From wizards to wives, teachers to doctors, magic is anything but a rare gift of the few. However, everything changed when mana started to become more and more scarce. As a dwindling resource, tensions between factions in the Kingdom of Eversong grew to the brink of war. Now, two of the most powerful magic-using guilds, the Sangmar and the Geiden, are battling across the kingdom in order to claim every possible resource of mana left. Taking on the roll as a spell-casting soldier on either faction, players fight magic with magic on the battlefield to conquer the opposing faction and claim the last of the world's mana.
Mana Wars Features
There are a wide variety of features that Mana Wars has, including:
*Magic based combat: Instead of using guns like in most other FPS's, players use a wide variety of magic spells to defeat their opponents.
*Aesthetic combat: Let your enemies see their demise as you unleash a vivid torrent of twisting magic at them!
*Wide variety of game modes: Deathmatch, capture the flag, and king of the hill are just some of the familiar game modes in Mana Wars. There are also new modes of play such as Artifact, a game similar to “Kill the Carrier.”
*Randomly generated maps: No map will ever be played the same way twice! Randomly generated maps add variety to the game as the terrain and buildings change player tactics from one match to the other.
*Customizable avatars: Players are able to not only able to choose the type of spell caster and the type of magic used, but they can also change the physical look of their avatar and the spells that they cast.
*Customizable spells: As players win matches, they earn points which they can spend to customize their spells to serve better functions. For example, points can be spent to add a “heat seeking” feature to a basic projectile spell.
*Spell caster classes: How will you fight? Will you charge onto the field as the might Swordsage? Will you spring from the shadows as the Spelldagger? Perhaps you want to protect your allies as the Manasaint, or disintegrate your enemies as the Warcaster? Each class has different strengths, weaknesses, and styles of play that can cater to any player's preference.
